Referral Program Terms
Appraiser Guru by Ergora LLC · Last Updated: February 2026
1. Program Overview
Ergora LLC ("Company") offers a Referral Program ("Program") that allows members to earn referral credits by referring qualified appraisers to the Appraiser Guru platform. The Program is a single-level, flat-rate referral reward — not a multi-level or percentage-based commission structure.
2. Referral Rewards
2.1 Referrer Reward
For each qualified referral, the referring member earns a $100 credit applied to their membership dues. There are no percentage-based commissions, no second-level rewards, and no ongoing or perpetual payments tied to referrals.
2.2 New Member Discount
Referred members receive 10% off their first year of membership, applied at signup via the referral code. Founding Members ($149/mo locked rate) are excluded from this discount as they are already at the lowest available rate.
2.3 Qualification
A referral is considered "qualified" when the referred member has maintained an active, paid subscription for 90 consecutive days. The $100 referral credit is applied to the referrer's account only after the 90-day qualification period is complete.
2.4 Example
You share your referral link. A fellow appraiser signs up using your link and subscribes to the Annual plan ($199/mo). They receive 10% off their first year. After 90 days of active paid membership, you receive a $100 credit applied to your next billing cycle.
3. Enrollment and Participation
3.1 Enrollment
Participation in the Referral Program is voluntary and requires affirmative enrollment. To participate, navigate to your account settings and click "Join Referral Program." Upon enrollment, a unique referral code and personalized referral link will be generated for your account. You are not automatically enrolled at signup and are never required to participate.
3.2 Referral Code
Upon account creation, the system generates a unique referral code (e.g., REF-JP1234) and a personalized referral link. You may also set a custom referral code (e.g., REF-JOHNDOE) via your account settings, subject to availability and content guidelines. Custom codes must be 4–20 alphanumeric characters and are prefixed with "REF-".
3.3 Eligibility
Both referring and referred members must: have an active, paid subscription (trial accounts do not qualify for earning referral credits), be in good standing, have accurate account information, and be a licensed appraiser or meet membership requirements.
4. Credit Application
4.1 How Credits Work
Referral credits are applied to the referrer's next membership billing cycle after the referred member completes the 90-day qualification period. Credits may also be cashed out via ACH transfer, subject to a $50 minimum balance (see Section 4.4).
4.2 No Cap
There is no cap on the number of referrals you can make or the total credits you can earn. Each qualified referral earns $100.
4.3 Active Membership Required
Both the referrer and the referred member must maintain active, paid memberships for the referral credit to be applied. If either party's membership lapses before the 90-day qualification period completes, the referral credit is forfeited.
4.4 Cash-Out Option
Referral credits may be cashed out via ACH bank transfer. To request a cash-out, you must have a minimum credit balance of $50 and have a verified ACH-capable bank account on file. Cash-out requests are processed within 5–10 business days. Credits used for cash-out are deducted from your available balance. You are responsible for all applicable taxes on cash-out amounts (see Section 5).
5. Tax Reporting
Referral credits — whether applied to membership dues or cashed out — that exceed $600.00 in a calendar year will be reported to the IRS on Form 1099-NEC. You are solely responsible for all tax obligations related to referral credits and cash-out payments. The Company does not provide tax advice. You may be required to provide a W-9 before receiving cash-out payments.
6. Referral Restrictions
6.1 Prohibited Conduct
- Spam: Sending referral invitations without explicit prior consent
- Misleading claims: False or exaggerated claims about the platform or earnings potential
- False advertising: Misleading domains, fake reviews, impersonation, or trademark infringement
- Self-referral: Creating fictitious accounts or referring accounts you control
- Illegal incentives: Offering payments beyond Program credits to induce sign-ups
- Paid advertising: Using paid ads for referral codes without prior written approval
6.2 Consequences
Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of Program participation, forfeiture of pending credits, and potential account termination.
7. Program Modifications
Ergora may modify or discontinue the Referral Program with thirty (30) days' written notice to participating members. Changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle following the notice period. Referral credits already earned and pending application will be honored.
8. FTC Disclosure
Members who refer new paying members receive a $100 referral credit. This referral represents a material financial relationship between the referrer and Ergora. When sharing your referral link or code, you must disclose this financial relationship in accordance with Federal Trade Commission guidelines.
9. No Earnings Guarantee
The Company makes no guarantee regarding earnings from the Referral Program. Referral credits are contingent on successful qualification of referred members. Ergora reserves the right to deny referral credit in cases of abuse, fraud, or violation of these terms.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
Governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Disputes are subject to binding arbitration per the Terms of Service.
11. Entire Agreement
These Referral Program Terms, together with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement regarding the Referral Program.
