Cookie Policy

Appraiser Guru by Ergora LLC · Last Updated: February 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small data files that a website stores on your computer or mobile device. When you visit the Appraiser Guru platform, the server sends a cookie to your browser, which then stores it locally. On subsequent visits, the browser automatically sends the cookie back to the server.

Cookies serve important functions: they remember your login information so you don't have to sign in every time you visit, they keep you secure by preventing unauthorized access, and they help the platform function properly. Cookies are a standard web technology and are used by virtually all websites.

Cookies cannot run programs or directly access your files. They are not viruses or spyware. You control whether cookies are stored through your browser settings.

2. Essential/Strictly Necessary Cookies

2.1 What They Are

Essential cookies (also called "strictly necessary" cookies) are required for the Appraiser Guru platform to function properly. These cookies are not based on your consent and cannot be disabled. Without these cookies, the platform would not work.

2.2 Types of Essential Cookies

  • Authentication Session Tokens: When you log in, Supabase (our authentication provider) sets a cookie containing an encrypted session token. This proves you are logged in and allows the platform to display your account, reports, and data. Without this cookie, the system would require you to log in on every page or action.
  • CSRF Protection Cookies: Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) protection cookies prevent unauthorized third parties from tricking you into making unwanted actions on the platform (such as changing your password or deleting data without your knowledge).
  • Load Balancing Cookies: When the platform is served from multiple servers, load-balancing cookies ensure your requests go to the same server consistently, maintaining session state and preventing redundant authentication.
  • User Preference Cookies: These cookies remember your settings and preferences (such as theme selection, language selection, and notification preferences) so you don't have to reconfigure them on every visit.

2.3 Consent and Necessity

Essential cookies are set based on legitimate interest and technical necessity under applicable privacy frameworks, including GDPR. These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function and do not require separate consent. However, we are transparent about their use: without these cookies, the platform cannot authenticate your identity, maintain your session, or protect against security threats. If you block essential cookies in your browser, the platform will not function — you will be unable to log in, your data will not load, and actions will fail. We encourage you to review this policy so you understand exactly what cookies are in use and why.

3. Analytics Cookies

3.1 Current Status

As of February 2026, the Appraiser Guru platform does not currently use third-party analytics cookies or analytics services (such as Google Analytics). We do not track user behavior across the web or analyze usage patterns through dedicated analytics tools.

3.2 Future Use

In the future, the Company may add analytics tools to understand feature adoption, user behavior, and product performance. If analytics cookies are implemented, we will:

  • Update this Cookie Policy to disclose which analytics services are used
  • Provide clear information about what data is collected
  • Give users the ability to opt out of analytics tracking
  • Provide at least 30 days' notice before activating analytics tracking

4. No Third-Party Advertising Cookies

4.1 No Advertisements

Appraiser Guru does not serve advertisements or promotional content to users. The platform is not ad-supported.

4.2 No Ad Tracking

Because the platform does not serve ads, we do not use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, ad network pixels or tracking beacons, or behavioral profiling for advertising purposes.

4.3 Your Data is Not Sold

Appraiser Guru does not sell your personal data to advertisers, data brokers, or third parties for marketing purposes. Your information is used solely to provide and improve the Service.

5. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, delete, block all, or block specific cookies.

5.1 Chrome

Menu (three dots) → Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data. To delete: Privacy and Security → Delete browsing data → select Cookies.

5.2 Firefox

Menu (three lines) → Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data. To delete: click Manage Data → select cookies → Remove Selected.

5.3 Safari

Safari menu → Preferences → Privacy tab → Cookies and website data. To delete: Safari menu → Clear History.

5.4 Edge

Menu (three dots) → Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Clear browsing data. To delete: select Cookies and cached images → Clear now.

5.5 Impact of Blocking Cookies

If you block essential cookies from Appraiser Guru, the platform will not function properly. You may be unable to log in, your data may not load, actions may fail, your session may be terminated unexpectedly, and security protections may be compromised. We strongly recommend allowing essential cookies for ergora.ai.

6. Cookie Retention and Expiration

6.1 Session Cookies

Session cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. These include temporary session identifiers and some preference cookies.

6.2 Authentication Tokens

Authentication session tokens follow Supabase's refresh cycle. By default, session tokens are refreshed automatically and remain valid for up to 24 hours of inactivity. If you are inactive for more than 24 hours, your session expires and you will need to log in again.

6.3 Analytics Cookies (If Implemented)

If analytics cookies are implemented in the future, they will typically be retained for up to 2 years unless you delete them manually through your browser settings.

7. First-Party vs. Third-Party Cookies

7.1 First-Party Cookies

All cookies set by Appraiser Guru are first-party cookies, meaning they are set by the ergora.ai domain only. These cookies are not shared with external websites or advertisers.

7.2 Third-Party Services

Appraiser Guru does use some third-party services (such as Supabase for authentication, Stripe for payments, and Anthropic for AI processing). These services may set their own cookies for their essential functions. Review their privacy policies:

  • Supabase: supabase.com/privacy
  • Stripe: stripe.com/privacy
  • Anthropic: anthropic.com/legal/privacy

8. Updates to This Policy

The Company may update this Cookie Policy at any time. If significant changes are made to cookie practices (such as adding new types of cookies), users will be notified via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
